Mohbad’s Cousin Denies Breaking Singer’s Neck, Addresses Controversies Surrounding Death

Must read

Darosha Losobeh, cousin and personal assistant to the late artiste Mohbad, has spoken out about the viral video suggesting the singer’s broken neck in his coffin. Mohbad, a former Marlian record signee, passed away at 27 on September 12, sparking controversy and leading to the arrest of Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley) and Samson Balogun (Sam Larry) for alleged bullying.

While the duo has been released, Mohbad’s friend Primeboy and the nurse accused of injecting the late singer remain in police custody as prime suspects. Responding to the allegations on his Instagram story, Darosha refuted claims of breaking Mohbad’s neck, urging those spreading such information to cease as it negatively impacts his mental health.

Darosha clarified that the issue arose when there was no space at the mortuary in Ikorodu, prompting the family to pay for an ambulance and a coffin to temporarily store Mohbad’s body. He emphasized that he paid for the coffin and ambulance arrangement, unaware of its size limitation. The family saw Mohbad’s body before burial, and no complaints were raised about his head.

He explained that the N1 million sent to Mohbad’s father was intended for burial arrangements, not personal use. Darosha defended his actions at Panti station, where he provided a statement and underwent questioning, urging people not to spread misinformation.

Addressing concerns about salt on Mohbad’s chest, he drew parallels to a similar practice during his father’s death for local embalming. Additionally, he clarified that Mohbad’s properties and music catalogues are managed by the artist’s lawyer and ONErpm, and his car is parked at his residence.

In conclusion, Darosha called for patience, awaiting autopsy results for justice, and pleaded for empathy rather than criticism towards Mohbad’s loved ones. #JusticeForMohbad
