My Administration Won’t Resort to Self Help Despite Security Threats by Criminals – Gov Ortom

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has said his administration won’t resort to self help despite security threats by armed Militiaman in some parts of the state.

Ortom who stated this on Friday when the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Ishiaka Amao paid a courtesy visit to him at the Government House Makurdi, noted that his government would continue to rely on security operatives whose duty he said is to protect lives and property.

” Despite Security threats in some parts of the state, my Administration is not ready to resort to self help “, he noted.

Continuing, the Governor urged the Nigerian Air Force to commence air surveillance at security flash points in the state.

He acknowledged the efforts made by the Nigerian Air Force through the Tactical Air Command, Makurdi by deploying troops to Apa, Agatu and Gwer-west Local Government Areas.

The Governor enjoined it to extend its operation to the Sankera axis to assist track bandits and criminals who have been terrorising the area.
