The Nasarawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called for calm among its members following rumors circulating on social media about alleged plans to disrupt the ongoing party congress in the state.

In a statement released on Thursday, PDP State Chairman Hon. Francis Orogu addressed the concerns, assuring members that the party leadership is committed to maintaining a smooth and transparent process.

“We are aware of rumors suggesting that certain individuals, possibly in collaboration with the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, are attempting to frustrate our ongoing congress. I urge all members of our great party to remain calm and focused,” Orogu stated.

He emphasized the need for members to disregard unauthorized orders or information, reminding them to wait for official communication from party leadership. “Any directive or information should be ignored until there is a formal communication from the party leadership,” Orogu added.

The PDP leader also cautioned against internal “saboteurs” allegedly working to derail the congress. He reiterated the party’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful and successful outcome, despite efforts to create confusion.

“Do not be distracted by saboteurs within the party,” Orogu warned.

Reports indicate that the PDP congress in Nasarawa State has drawn attention, as party members look forward to electing new leaders and shaping future strategies. Despite the alleged plans to disrupt the event, party leaders maintain that the process will continue undisturbed.

“PDP Power to the People! PDP First, PDP Always!” Orogu concluded, underscoring the party’s unity and dedication to progress.
