National Progressive Hub Calls For Evidence In Corruption Allegation Against Senator John Enoh By Bash Ali

PRESS RELEASE,

The attention of the National Progressive Hub has been to a one minute and fifty seconds video made by the Nigerian boxer, Bash Ali with corruption allegation against the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh. Bash Ali in the video claimed that Senator John Owan Enoh has been the barrier to his quest for Guinness World Fight Championship in Nigeria due to the demand of one million dollar from him by the Sports Development Minister.

The National Progressive Hub is a group that is against corruption in all ramifications and hence, the reason we getting involved in this matter with a view to unraveling the truth surrounding the allegation. The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is one with zero tolerance for corruption and this as a group, we are committed to as well.

For us, Senator John Owan Enoh is one of the finest and most credible minister in this administration and one that is one hundred percent transparent in his dealings especially when it comes to public offices. He’s a man with track records and antecedents of zero corruption allegation and one whose public conduct has been an inspiration to many. These are the attributes of Senator John Owan Enoh that are in the public space which anyone can verify. It’s against the backdrop of this that we are ready to see this matter to a logical conclusion, not minding taking a legal path.

It is a total disservice and dishonour on the part of Bash Ali to restore to character assassination in venting his  frustration and possibly personal resentment against the minister to the public the way he has done using false corruption allegation. He needs to understand that he has to provide the entire sport loving Nigerians with evidence of his allegation against the Minister to back up his claim. In his bid to gain public sympathy, Bash Ali must come to term with the fact that what he has done can lead him to jail term if he fails to prove his allegation before a court of competent jurisdiction as the National Progressive Hub is ready to pursue this matter in the court of law.

In the claim of Bash Ali, he disclosed  that everything has been concluded to stage the fight in Nigeria by the Local Organizing Committee but since August 24, 2023 Senator John Enoh has purposely delayed and purposely sent the file to the wrong places just for the demand of one million dollar. This is a weighty corruption allegation against the minister that must be trashed legally if reasonable evidence is not provided.

Finally, we are not calling on Bash Ali to withdraw his allegation or claim against the minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh but we are demanding concrete evidence to back up his claim failure of which might results into legal action from the National Progressive Hub.

Signed,

Mr. Salami Taiwo.

General Secretary, NPH.
