NCDMB Commissions Feed Mill in Delta, Launches Agribusiness Training for 30 Women

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), in partnership with Jayden Pride Technologies Limited, has commissioned a feed mill and processing facility in Koko community, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State. The facility, located at Mile 4 in Koko, is designed to support animal feed production and strengthen agricultural value chains in the South-South region, according to NCDMB officials at the inauguration.

The commissioning also marked the start of a training programme for 30 women under the Nigerian Women in Agribusiness (NIWAB) initiative. The participants will receive instruction on feed mill operations, safety standards and best practices in animal feed production. Speaking at the event, NCDMB representative Egoli Ebikombo-Owei said the project aims to improve animal husbandry, create jobs and stimulate economic activity in the host community.

A representative of Jayden Pride Technologies Limited, Chika Okechukwu, said the project demonstrates how collaboration between government agencies and local private firms can build technical capacity and promote local participation. Delta State NIWAB Coordinator, Bethel Aboh, described the initiative as a combination of infrastructure and skills development intended to support women’s economic empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.

NCDMB said the project aligns with its mandate to deepen local content and encourage value addition in key sectors, while contributing to food security and rural development. Officials said the facility is expected to increase access to quality animal feed and provide trainees with practical skills for agribusiness ventures.
