Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission NCPC, Rev. Yakubu Pam has commended the efforts of healthcare providers and humanitarian organizations in reaching out to the less privileged people in the Society.
Rev. Pam gave the commendation in Abuja recently when members of the International Association Lions Club visited the Commission’s Office in Abuja to offer staffers free eye testing.
He urged them to work in synergy with order related organizations in order to continue to help the less privileged people in the Society.
Pam described their intention and interest to conduct a free eye test for the Commission’s staff as a ‘Welcome Development.
He said, “This is what our country needs now, without it a lot of people will die in silence, adding that such gesture will boost the more hope of the less privileged”.
Leader of the delegation, Lion Fadeyi Abiodun told the NCPC boss that the club is involved in various humanitarian organizations such as health care and feeding of the hungry in the Society.
Lion Abiodun said that he was in the Commission with his team to screen staff with eye defects and provide free eye glasses for them in commemoration with the 2020 World Sight Day which has as its Theme: “Hope in Sight”.
