The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, on behalf of the Chairman and members of NCPC Board congratulated Hon. Mrs Omowumi Ogunlola, Federal Commissioner representing the South West on the Board of the Commission, on her 60th birthday anniversary.
Bishop Adegbite represented by Hon. Clement Nweke, Federal Commissioner representing the South East, thanked God for granting Ogunlola the gift of long life.
He said, “it is not how long one lives, but the impact.” as he described Hon. Ogunlola’s 60 years as a celebration of impactful, selfless service to humanity.”
Bishop Adegbite praised Hon. Ogunlola for her “outspoken, God-fearing, and forthright” qualities with a dint of excellent service to the nation and constituency.
He also noted her achievements during her tenure as Chief Whip in the Ekiti State House of Assembly and member of the House of Representatives (2019-2023). He urged her to continue serving God with all her heart.
The 60th birthday anniversary celebration featured notable events, including a visit to the School for the Deaf on July 17, 2025, a health outreach on July 18, 2025, birthday empowerment, and a praise night. The celebration culminated on July 19, 2025, with a thanksgiving service at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Okelogbo, Ijero Ekiti, followed by a thanksgiving reception.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency Biodun Oyebanji, the Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Mrs. Monisade Afuye, the first Executive Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Adebayo Adeniyi, Federal Commissioners, serving and former National and State Assembly members and management staff of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission.
