The newly appointed Acting Executive Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS), Mr. Sunday Odagba, has pledged his loyalty and support to the administration of Governor Alia, aiming to contribute to the state’s progress.

Odagba made the pledge shortly after receiving handover notes from his predecessor at the revenue house. He assured that he would diligently fulfill his responsibilities to expedite the development of the service.

In a statement released by BIRS Information Officer Terfa Nyitor, Odagba expressed gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve in his administration. He promised to align with the Governor’s developmental agenda by enhancing revenue generation for the state.

Odagba highlighted that Governor Alia’s developmental efforts are evident through the numerous people-oriented projects initiated by his administration, underscoring the need for improved revenue generation.

Earlier, outgoing Chairman Mr. Emmanuel Agema praised the Governor for the opportunity to serve as Chairman of BIRS, noting the valuable lessons learned while working under his leadership.

Management staff of BIRS, who spoke at the event, commended Agema for maintaining a peaceful management style during his tenure. They also expressed support for Odagba, praising his commitment to the development of BIRS and assuring him of their full cooperation for his success.
