Nigeria vs Algeria friendly match gets new venue in Austria

The venue for the international friendly match between Nigeria and Algeria in Austria, has been changed.

The match, initially scheduled to take place at the Jacques Lemmans Arena, has now been moved to the Worthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt on the request of the Algeria Football Federation

The Worthersee stadium has a 30,000 capacity, compared to the initial venue in the southern Austrian state of Carinthia which can only host 2,420 spectators.

“It is at the request of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) that this change takes place in order to allow the two teams to evolve in a larger enclosure and on an excellent lawn” , a local official was quoted by DZ Football.

The date and time for the clash, scheduled for Friday at 7.30 p.m remain unchanged.
