Nollywood Actress Wumi Toriola Counts Down to Son’s 4th Birthday with a Heartfelt Throwback

By  Milcah  Tanimu

Nigerian actress Wumi Toriola is filled with excitement as she eagerly anticipates her son’s upcoming 4th birthday. In celebration of this special occasion, she took to her Instagram page to share a heartwarming throwback photo from her pregnancy days.

Wumi expressed her gratitude for her journey so far and credited God for His assistance in her life. She shared her joy in preparation for her son’s big day, and her post read:

“Tomorrow my great son turns 4. All glory and adoration to the name of Jesus…

Because it’s a Thursday, I decided to throw it back. Chai, I am THAT person helped by God. Happy birthday in advance Oluwafikayo.

13/10 Nigerian date, 10/13 American date.”

Last year, on her son’s 3rd birthday, Wumi Toriola offered powerful prayers and expressed her immense gratitude to God for the gift of her child. She described how her son had brought joy, peace, blessings, and more into her life, making her heart leap for joy every time he called her “mama.”

The actress holds her son dear, especially since she battled infertility before his arrival. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she shared her infertility journey, explaining that after her marriage, she and her husband initially decided to wait before having a child. However, when their rest period was over and she couldn’t conceive for six months, she sought medical help.

Despite the doctor confirming their good health, she opted for Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) when she was eager to have a child, but this procedure was unsuccessful. Wumi Toriola even considered In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) after the failed IUI, but she believes God miraculously answered their prayers.

It’s worth noting that the actress confirmed her separation from her husband last year, marking a significant change in her personal life.
