Nollywood Couple Frederick Leonard, Peggy Ovire Reportedly Split

Nollywood actors Frederick Leonard and Peggy Ovire have reportedly parted ways, sparking renewed conversations about the state of their marriage on social media.

The couple got married on November 19, 2022, in a traditional wedding ceremony held in Warri, Delta State.

Speculation about their relationship resurfaced following an Instagram post by veteran movie producer Stanley Ontop, who claimed that the actors have been separated for a long time. He alleged that the marriage was forced and marred by violence, stating that the union had collapsed shortly after it was contracted.

In his post, Ontop suggested that the couple were incompatible and accused both parties of being violent, adding that such a relationship could not last. He further claimed that Ovire played a significant role in Leonard’s career growth, though these assertions remain unverified.

Rumours of a rift between the actors first surfaced in 2023 after Peggy Ovire was seen in public without her wedding ring, fueling speculation about trouble in their marriage.

Neither Frederick Leonard nor Peggy Ovire has publicly responded to the reports as of the time of filing this report.
