Nollywood Mourns the Loss of Veteran Actress ‘Ovularia’ from “The New Masquerade”

The Nigerian film industry is in mourning following the passing of Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, renowned for her iconic portrayal of Ovularia in the beloved 1980s television series “The New Masquerade.”

The seasoned actress, Evoeme, peacefully passed away at the age of 81, leaving behind a legacy cherished by fans and colleagues alike.

The Evoeme Emekalam family released a statement expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and colleagues during this difficult period, urging for privacy as they grieve the loss of their beloved matriarch.

Born on December 1, 1942, Madam Elizabeth Evoeme, affectionately known as Ovularia, bid farewell surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind memories cherished by generations of viewers.

In a statement, the Evoeme Emekalam family conveyed their appreciation to fans, friends, and colleagues for their unwavering support and requested privacy to mourn their beloved Ovularia.
