Obaseki Denies Rumored ‘beef’ with Oshiomhole

Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has exposed bits of gossip making the rounds that all isn’t well between him and previous Governor of the state and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole.

He depicted the talk as ‘phony news’.

Obaseki exposed the talk yesterday while tending to journalist at the Benin Airport.

The governor is required to resume office after his one-month annual leave, amid which period his deputy, Hon. Philip Shaibu, took charge as acting governor.

“I feel very good, refreshed and ready to resume after the break from work,” he said.

Representative Governor, Philip Shaibu; Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie; Edo State House of Assembly Speaker, Kabiru Adjoto, Chief of Staff to the governor, Taiwo Akerele, and some APC heads were among authorities who welcomed Obaseki.
