Ohanaeze is APolitical, Isiguzoro’s statement on Atiku is personal- Ezinwa fumes

The Chidi Ibe led faction of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo group, has decried a political statement made by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro on the person of the Presidential aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party, Alh. Atiku Abubakar.

In a statement on Monday, the PRO of the Ibe led faction of the Apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Chief Ezinwa Chukwudi Fred, stated that the group, has always been apolitical, therefore should not be involved in taking unbiased position in regard to any political matters.

Recall the acclaimed Secretary-General, Mazi Isiguzoro, had in a viral report online, hinged that Atiku should be rejected at the 2023 polls because the party had jettisoned zoning arrangements before its presidential primary election.

Reacting to the report, Ezinwa downplaying the action of the latter, emphasised that such statement which is obviously from and for a personal interest, is not in any way related to the interest, principles of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

Ezinwa, however urged all to champion their efforts towards uniting and not destroying the country while ensuring a peaceful 2023 general election.
