Ohanaeze Ndigbo exposes Dickson’s aide other, for misconduct

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization under the auspices of OHANAEZE NDIGBO worldwide, Bayelsa State chapter has excommunicated the former Special Adviser on Non-Indigenes affairs to Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, Chief Arthur Chinedu Ugwa for gross misconduct and bridge of the Ndigbo constitution.

Others includes; Chief Remigius Ekwem, Mr. Patrick Emeka Ugwu.

The Group frowned at the award given to the Commissioner for Education and former member representing Yenagoa constituency III of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Gentle Emelah, describing it as null and void advising him to not cavalcade the said Title and Award by the above named impersonators as Ndigbo is doing everything within the ambit of the law to bring them to order.

This was contained in a communique and signed by its President Mazi Onuma Johnson, Council Secretary Chief Abusufyah Uche and twenty six officials and issued at the end of a meeting in Yenagoa, the group advised unsuspecting members of the public not to do business or any transaction with the said impersonators adding that they are not representing the interest of the Ohaneze Ndigbo community in Bayelsa.

The group vowed to contend with anyone who does business with the said individuals that they are perpetual enemies who is bend of fueling crisis of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Bayelsa State.

The communique said the socio-cultural organization is never in crises, that any government officer, Community and or security agencies dealing with the said individuals should be ready to face the wrath and the actions may cause.

The community resolved to continue to give unreserved and total support to the Prosperity Government led by Sen. Douye Diri through peaceful co-existence as they appreciate the Government for the swift attention given to security challenge as it affect Ndigbo in the state.

The communique reads; “That, the stakeholders meeting resolved and have totally excommunicated Chief Arthur
Chinedu Ugwa, Chief Remigius Ekwem, Mr. Patrick Emeka Ugwu and their cohort as members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Igbo activities in Bayelsa State.

“That, the Title (Enyi Ndigbo) and Award given to Hon. Dr. Gentle Emelah is null and void, and therefore, He should not cavalcade the said Title and Award by the above named impersonators as Ndigbo is doing everything within the ambit of the law to bring them to order.

“That, Chief Chinedu Arthur Ugwa, Chief Remigius Ekwem and other disgruntled
elements are not representing Ndigbo in the State. That anybody who falls in love with their relationship and wish to do business with them, should do it on a personal ground and not in the name of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Bayelsa State.

“That Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Bayelsa State is not in crises, that any government officer, Community and or security agency dealing with the said individuals should be ready to face the wrath the actions may cause.

“The community resolved to continue to give unreserved and total support to the
Government and good people of Bayelsa State through peaceful co-existence as we appreciate the Prosperity Government for the swift attention given to security challenge as it affect Ndigbe in the state”, it concluded.

While citing the constitution of the Ohaneze Ndigbo, the President of the group noted that the traditional head or members of the community must have considered and approve whatever award giving to any friend or Ndigbo sons and daughters.

He added that the community or anyone would have written to the recipient in line with the constitution and endorsed by the general assembly which had met the requirements worthy for any award.

In an interview with journalists, the immediate past president of the council Chief Amaku Morris, and incumbent Vice President of Women Wing, Lady Ngosiku Okoye, endorsed the decision of the council adding that Chief Arthur Chinedu and his cohorts are known for dubious activities over the years.
