Old Prophecy Resurfaces as Pastor Claims He Predicted Verydarkman’s Arrest

A prophecy made by Nigerian cleric, Pastor Swieve C. Christian, days before the arrest of social media activist Verydarkman, has resurfaced online, igniting a flurry of reactions.

Verydarkman, widely known for his bold commentary on social and political issues, was reportedly apprehended at the Abuja headquarters of GTBank while assisting his mother in resolving unauthorized transactions on her account. The arrest, allegedly carried out with the involvement of EFCC operatives, has stirred public outrage and calls for justice.

Amid the backlash, an April 22 Facebook post by Pastor Swieve began making the rounds on social media. In the post, the pastor appeared to caution Verydarkman about imminent trouble, urging him to be vigilant.

The post read:
“A young man known as VDM, if you are not careful, in coming days, the police and situations will make caricature of you. Tread carefully, a snare is by the side.”

Following the activist’s arrest, Pastor Swieve reshared the post, reinforcing his message and urging followers to pray.
“Make una pray for my brother oh… no matter what. We don’t play! So stop playing but pray… where are the group of ‘he edited it’?” he wrote.

The resurfaced prophecy has sparked debates over its accuracy, timing, and the unfolding circumstances surrounding Verydarkman’s detention.
