Osun NUP Declares Support For Gov Oyetola…. Deputy

The Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Osun State Chapter have declared their support and cooperation to the new governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola and his deputy, Mr Benedict Olugboyega Alabi.

This declaration was made in a Press Statement issued and jointly signed by the Chairman of the Union, Alhaji Ganiyu Olasunkanmi Salawu and the Secretary, Comrade Lawrence Dele Aina, JP and later made available to Daybreak news in Osogbo.

The statement which described the combination of Mr Governor and his Deputy as a round peg in a round hole said, “the new dawn as come to Osun with the new leadership having presently”.

The Osun NUP Leadership who enjoined Governor Oyetola not to take the issues of pensioners plight with levity hand called for unflinching support of the entire people of the state to the incumbent administration.

The Osun NUP who declared their Confidence in Governor Oyetola’s leadership said they are very much optimistic that, all the entitlements of their members across board would be paid by his government without further delay.

” Our members are suffering in silence, some cannot afford to pay the school fees of their children again, members are dying on a daily basis when there is no money to buy the drugs prescribed by the Doctor.

That is why we are strongly appealing to Governor Oyetola to come to the aid of the entire pensioners in Osun State as things refused to work when there is no money on ground” The Osun NUP retorted.

According to the statement, “Governor Oyetola is aware of the Osun NUP’s plight, yes, he is fully aware because, we used to filed all our correspondents through him when he was the Chief of Staff to the immediate past governor of the state, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, that is why we are strongly appealing to him to make the entire pensioners happy in his time.
Alhaji Oyetola is in position to attend to our plight now that he is the governor of the state and we pray that, Almighty God will support him with all what he needs to govern the state” the statement added.

The statement however enjoined all Osun NUP members across the state to remains calm, be law abiding and continue to pray for the new administration in the state.
