PDP Set Date for National Convention

The national convention of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will take place on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2021.

PDP Governors Forum Chairman, Aminu Tambuwal made the announcement on Friday in Abuja after the 40th national caucus meeting.

The Sokoto Governor said the venue of the event will be determined by the National Executive Committee (NEC).

“We have resolved to submit to the NEC of our party tomorrow, the national working committee’s recommendation for the national convention”, he said.

A team led by former Senate President, David Mark will interface with party members involved in court cases to urge them to withdraw the suits.

Tambuwal appealed to PDP faithful across the country to sheathe their sword and embrace peace.

“Nigeria is waiting for PDP and I believe that we have the capacity to resolve whatever issues we have internally”, he added.
