“Peter Put Him in Prison, I’m Here to Get Him Out” – Paul Okoye Speaks on Jude Okoye’s Arrest

By Abigail Philip David

Nigerian music star Paul Okoye has accused his twin brother, Peter Okoye, of being responsible for the arrest and arraignment of their elder brother, Jude Okoye.

On Wednesday, reports emerged that Jude Okoye, the former manager of Psquare, was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi over an alleged N1.38 billion fraud.

Reacting to the development via his Instagram story, Paul Okoye expressed his support for Jude, claiming that this was what Peter had wanted. He urged his elder brother to stay strong.

On Friday, Paul showed up at the court in Ikoyi to stand by Jude. Speaking to the press, he reiterated his stance, saying, “Peter is the one who put Jude in prison, and I’m here to bring him out.”

Reports from 2023 indicated renewed tensions within Psquare over alleged mismanagement of joint funds by Jude Okoye.

In a past interview, Paul revealed that Peter had him and Jude arrested by the EFCC in December 2023. However, after investigations, he was cleared of all allegations.

Responding to Paul’s claims, Peter Okoye accused his twin brother of siding with Jude to marginalize and humiliate him instead of focusing on reclaiming their top spot in the music industry. He also alleged that Paul had continuously disrespected him, his wife, his family, his talent, and his creative ideas.
