Phyno Praises Modern Parents for Supporting Children’s Talents

By  Milcah   Tanimu

Nigerian rapper Phyno has commended the current generation of parents for their supportive approach to nurturing children’s talents, a stark contrast to the attitude of previous generations.

Speaking on the *In My Opinion* Podcast, Phyno reflected on his journey, sharing that his parents initially disapproved of his music career. “My parents didn’t support my career when I first started. It’s different now,” he said.

Phyno emphasized how past generations often discouraged children from pursuing their passions, sometimes resorting to punishment. In contrast, he praised today’s parents for recognizing and nurturing their children’s gifts, whether in music, sports, or other creative fields.

“Now, fathers enroll their kids in academies if they see potential. Some even encourage their toddlers to dream big, buying them gear and guiding them like Neymar,” Phyno added.

The rapper also acknowledged that societal views on creative careers have evolved. He noted that financial success in music today has changed perceptions, making parents more willing to support artistic pursuits.

Phyno concluded by giving a shout-out to modern parents for embracing the value of talent and encouraging their children to share their gifts with the world.
