Police Arrest Sam Larry at Lagos Airport in Connection with Mohbad’s Death

Socialite and music promoter, Balogun Eletu, widely known as Sam Larry, was apprehended by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja. His arrest is part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Sam Larry was taken into custody upon his arrival from Kenya, and he is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation.

Earlier, the police had also invited Sam Larry and singer Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, for questioning regarding Mohbad’s demise. Pathologists have completed the autopsy, with results pending. This development followed the exhumation of Mohbad’s body by a joint team of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials. Additionally, the nurse who administered the injection to the deceased singer before his death on September 12 was also arrested.

Naira Marley had expressed his intention to return to Nigeria to assert his innocence in the case, provided his safety was ensured.
