The Kaduna State Police Command has urged residents to adopt safety measures in response to the rising insecurity in the state. As part of this initiative, the police have deployed nipping points across key areas and shared safety tips to enhance public awareness.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents. According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, proactive measures have been intensified to address criminal activities in the state.

“The Command has increased the deployment of police personnel to strategic areas, established more nipping points, and secured vulnerable locations across Kaduna. These measures are designed to enhance police visibility, deter criminal activities, and provide rapid responses to security challenges,” the statement read.

Safety Tips for Residents
To safeguard lives and property, the police advised residents to observe the following safety precautions:

1. Stay Vigilant: Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious movements or individuals to the nearest police station or security personnel.
2. Avoid Late-Night Movements: Refrain from traveling late at night or in isolated areas unless absolutely necessary.
3. Secure Your Homes: Lock all doors and windows before leaving home or going to bed. Install security lighting if possible.
4. Exercise Caution with Strangers: Avoid sharing personal information or granting access to strangers without proper verification.
5. Report Crimes Promptly: In case of emergencies or suspicious activities, contact the police for swift intervention.
