Parents, guidance and caregivers have been advised to ensure they make their children available for vaccination as Kaduna State commences another round of polio immunization campaign.
The exercise is scheduled for 10th – 13th January, 2022 and would be conducted through House-to-House visits, on the streets and markets, motor parks among others.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the State Coordinator, Journalists Initiative on Immunization Against Polio (JAP) Kaduna State Chapter, Lawal A. Dogara.
JAP advised that the vaccination would enable children grow healthier, as such parents should try and ensure they allowed the vaccinators to attend to their wards.
JAP explained that all adequate arrangement have been made for the smooth conduct of the exercise by the State Government, Development partners and other stakeholders.
The body commended the Traditional Rulers and Religious Leaders for their effort and urged them to put in more efforts for the success of the exercise.
It commended the World Health Organization, State Primary Health Care and other stakeholders for working as a team with JAP with a view to educating the parents and the general public on the importance of immunization.
JAP then appealed to the ad-hoc staff engaged for the conduct of Polio immunization to ensure all eligible children are reached for the progress of the exercise.
