By   Milcah    Tanimu

Nigerian street hop artist Portable has made a heartfelt apology after facing backlash for attacking a pastor. The incident, which occurred in Sango Ota, Ogun State, involved Portable slapping a pastor who was preaching near his bar. This act of aggression sparked widespread criticism, particularly from Christian leaders who viewed it as an assault on the faith.

Portable initially defended his actions, claiming he was unaware that his target was a man of God. However, following significant criticism, the artist has since expressed deep regret. In a recent video, Portable appeared emotionally distressed as he publicly apologized to the pastor and the Christian community.

In the video, Portable can be seen crying and pleading for forgiveness in Yoruba. He hosted what resembled a ministration session at his bar, where he asked pastors to forgive him and accept his apology. A pastor who accompanied Portable during the apology also spoke, urging the Christian community to see the musician as their own and extend grace.

This incident marks a challenging year for Portable, known for his controversial behavior. Fans and followers are hopeful that this apology signifies a positive change and a new direction for the artist. As Portable seeks to mend his reputation, his public repentance aims to restore his relationship with the Christian community and his supporters.
