Portable Calls Out First Bank Over Frozen Account, Draws Parallels with Verydarkman’s GTBank Ordeal

Nigerian street-pop sensation, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has taken to social media to raise concerns over an issue with his First Bank account, claiming he is unable to access funds despite receiving deposits.

In a video that has since gone viral, the Zazuu crooner explained that while money continues to be credited to his account, all attempts to withdraw have failed. He called on First Bank to urgently address the issue, stressing that he relies on the funds for his livelihood.

The artist also expressed fear over visiting the bank in person, citing the recent arrest of social media activist Verydarkman (VDM), who was reportedly detained at a GTBank branch after accompanying his mother to complain about unauthorized deductions. Portable said he worried a similar incident could happen to him, pleading, “Please don’t kidnap me.”

Responding to speculation about the legitimacy of his income, Portable clarified that all funds in his account are legally earned through music streams, shows, and other entertainment engagements.

In a follow-up video, Portable dramatically claimed that he had over N400 billion in his First Bank account and had just received a significant payment from Apple Music. He insisted he needed immediate access to his money.

The situation has sparked widespread discussion online, with many fans urging First Bank to resolve the matter promptly.
