On Wednesday, the Islamic community mourned the loss of a revered scholar, Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu, who passed away in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, following a brief illness.
The news of Argungu’s demise was announced by Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi Bala Lau, the chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bidi’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS).
Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu had earned profound respect within the Muslim community for his significant contributions to the Islamic faith and his role as a spiritual leader. His teachings and guidance had a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals, and his passing has left a void in the hearts of his followers.
The funeral prayer to honor Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu is scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the Idin Sarki mosque in the town of Argungu, located in Kebbi State.
