**Protest in Kaduna Over Incessant Bandit Attacks**

By Daniel Edu

Residents of Goningora in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have staged a protest, blocking the Abuja-Kaduna highway. The protest was triggered by a recent bandit attack on the community that occurred on the night of February 28th, leading to the kidnapping of several residents and causing injuries. Two individuals, including a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force, were reportedly killed in the attack. The enraged residents took to the streets on Thursday morning, blocking the major highway and causing significant traffic congestion, leaving many motorists stranded. This incident follows a series of bandit attacks in the region, with the latest assault occurring just a week after the military eliminated a notorious bandit leader, Boderi Isyaku, and his followers in the Chikun local government area.
