PSG vs. AC Milan: Match Preview, Team News, and Predictions

Must read

By Milcah Tanimu

Italian team AC Milan will face PSG in the third round of Group F stage fixtures on Wednesday evening. Group F has been dubbed the “Group of Death,” with some surprising moments as Dortmund and AC Milan have secured only one and two points, respectively. This comes after Newcastle convincingly took all three points against Paris Saint-Germain.

With just three points, PSG will host AC Milan, who have been unable to secure a win, drawing with Newcastle and Dortmund. PSG is looking to turn the odds in their favor today after a season marked by ups and downs. They currently sit third in their league standings, with just five wins out of nine games and a recent return to winning ways just before the international break.

Despite their challenging run in the UCL, AC Milan is having a strong season. They are trailing Inter Milan by just one point and have won seven of their nine matches. They will be eager to get back to winning ways after a tough 0-1 home loss to third-placed Juventus.

Key players returning from suspension for PSG include Ousmane Dembele, Achraf Hakimi, Layvin Kurzawa, and Randal Kolo Muani. However, injuries have ruled out Presnel Kimpembe (Achilles) and Nuno Mendes (hamstring), with Marco Asensio’s participation questionable due to a foot issue.

For Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan, the most notable absence is Ismael Bennacer, who is still recovering from a knee injury. Bennacer is sidelined along with Ruben Loftus-Cheek (muscle injury), Samuel Chukwueze (thigh), Mattia Caldara (ankle), and Marco Sportiello (calf).

Given the circumstances, this match may result in a shared outcome.
