Rector Cites Justice, Transparency, Inclusiveness As Antidote To Dev

The Rector of Kogi state Polytechnic, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman has described Justice, fairness, transparency and inclusiveness as an antidote to his leadership direction and rapid development in the institution.

Dr. Usman who made this remarks when the leadership of Kogi State Chapter of the Jama’atu Nasir’l Islam (JNI) paid him courtesy visit stressed that the Management of the institution has made remarkable efforts to instill justice in all its affairs, which according to him is yielding positive results.

The Rector appreciated the JNI for the visit and acknowledgement of the modest gains recorded stressing that the rapid development witnessed in the institution was as a result of transparency, fairness in the leadership direction.

Dr Usman noted that the school under his watch has made life easy for students by putting an end to lecturers forcing students to buy text books and enforcement of ‘no school fees, no exam’ approach.

Dr Usman charged the body to join hands with the institution to persuade various Islamic groups in fostering unity among themselves and promote peaceful coexistence among religious bodies on campus

Earlier, the State Chairman of JNI, Ambassador Usman Bello, stressed that such performance informed their decision to visit, pray God to guard, guide and bless the leadership with more wisdom to lead the institution to enviable heights.

The JNI leadership further described the Polytechnic as a centre of excellence in view of the ongoing positive revolution and charged the Rector to always be fair to all in his dealings.

Bello therefore praised the resourcefulness of the leadership that has led to positive revolution in the institution, assuring that efforts would be intensified to give him all the necessary support that would enhance more performance in the institution.

The Coordinator of Lokoja and Kotonkarfe, Alhaji Mohammed Wadan and the Head of Media and Publicity, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim were also on the JNI delegation
