Senator representing Plateau South in the 9th National Assembly Prof Nora Ladi Daduut has donated two transformers to communities in Langtang North Local Government of Plateau State.
Our correspondent reports that the occasion elicited massive jubilation amongst the citizens of the beneficiary communities many of whom showered Senator Daduut with praises .
In a similar feat, Senator Daduut also constructed the Zanzat to Kwallat road , an Asphaltic rural road of about 250 meters linking a school with a market in Langtang North local government council of the state.
Speaking shortly after the Commissioning of both projects in Langtang , Daduut reiterated her unwavering commitment to further uplift the living standard of the people of Plateau South .
In her words ” I want to use this opportunity to thank the People of the local government council for their support to me when I was in the Senate “.
” As you are aware ,I was elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in December 2022 , representing Plateau South Senatorial District ,I had pledged to be accountable to my constituents as well as take deliberate steps towards ensuring the delivery of dividends of Democracy to my people “.
According to Daduut ” Apart from my legislative functions ,I reached out to my constituency ( Plateau South ) by facilitating and providing empowerment programmes ,projects and social amenities ,in this light I was able to identify , amongst others ,the needs for transformers ( 500KVA and 300KVA ) to boost electricity supply in Langtang North and also a rural road linking a school with a market ( Zanzat -Kwallat ) .
Daduut added that ” I am happy that this projects were executed , despite the fact that I was accused of neglecting the Langtang North and South Constituency in the provision of the dividends of Democracy ,it is now clearly seen that Langtang North has tremendously benefited by these projects .”
” To add to these ,there is also a Box Culvert which I facilitated in Gazum and already in use ”
” All the projects mentioned are part of many other programmes that the Constituency of Langtang North benefited .”
She also added that ” This gestures are aimed at alleviating the suffering of the residents of the benefitting community and adjoining villages.”
This transformers would boost electricity supply in Langtang North .
She added that the public utilities will open up the rural communities, improve economic activities as well as alleviate the plight of residents, especially farmers transporting their foodstuffs to the market .
At both communities, the residents trooped out to show their elation with the arrival of the new transformers, courtesy the distinguished Senator.
Commissioning the Projects his Royal Highness , the Acting Ponzhi Tarok, who is also the Ponzhi Zinni HRH Nimnan Langnim lauded Daduut for the unparalleled gesture.
He said Senator Daduut did not neglect the people of Langtang North and South Constituency in provision of the dividends of Democracy.
HRH Nimnan Langnim said Senator Daduut’s projects are scattered all over Plateau South Senatorial District .
He added that the people of the beneficiary communities would use the facilities judiciously, as well as to guard the transformers jealousy from vandalism.
