Senator Wamakko Donates N20m,100 Bags of 50kg of Rice to Islamiyya School in Sokoto

A member of the muslim world league, and senator representing sokoto north senatorial district, senator aliyu magatakarda wamakko has donated 20 million naira and 100 bags of 50kg of rice to ma’ahdut tahfiz waddarastul qur’aniyya islamiyya hubbare area sokoto.

Senator wamakko made the announcement when he paid a visit to the school’s management to see things for himself.

Senator’s spokesman, bashar abubakar in a statement made available to our correspondent said aliyu magatakarda wamakko, while on the visit to the school, explained that he built the school for the sake of allah and to earn rewards from allah the almighty.

He further added that he is ever ready to continue to devote himself to assisting islamic affairs with the little that came his way.

The senator thanked the management of the school for their efforts towards imparting knowledge to the teeming populace all the time.

He assured that he would be visiting the school whenever he had a chance to see the way the school was peering.

He announced the donation of 20 million naira for the erection of additional classes to the school following the need for the construction of more classrooms that will accommodate more students in the school.

The senator also announced the donation of 100 bags of 50kg of rice to the school which will be shared between the management and the teachers of the school.

Earlier, the chairman of the school, dr. Goni bello muhammad boyi, while receiving the senator and his entourage, explained that the school was established in 2010 personally by senator aliyu magatakarda and commenced academic sessions in the year 2013 adding that the school has about 1000 students currently for both mornings, evenings, and weekends.

He said due to inadequate spaces they could not enroll more applicants as they so far have about 500 candidates waiting to be enrolled.

He also told the senator that all the teachers in the school are former students of the institution, and they receive no penny from any individual or organization.

Dr. Bello boyi used the medium to thank the senator for his usual support of the activities of the school at all times and prayed to allah the almighty to reward him abundantly.

Mallam bashir gidan kanawa added his voice that when the school was built, senator wamakko was asked how he wanted the school to be named, but he said its original name should be maintained as he built it just to earn allah’s reward.

The senator and his entourage were later conducted around various sections of the school and the proposed classrooms project to see things for themselves.

Sarkin mallaman sokoto mallam yahaya muhammad boyi offered special prayers for allah’s continued blessings and mercies to senator aliyu magatakarda wamakko. Senator wamakko was accompanied on the visit by many personalities.
