The Sokoto state government recently raised concerns over the status of Primary healthcare facilities in the state and pledged to give all the necessary attention need to improve service delivery at the grassroots.
Commissioner for health, Hajiya Asabe Balaraba stated this when she received Bello Garba Manager, Special Adviser to the state governor on Primary Healthcare on a courtesy visit.
Hajiya Balaraba said concerns will be on maternal health, prevention and treatment of Vesico-vaginal fistula (VVF) children healthcare among other health issues.
As contained in a statement by Information Officer of the Ministry of Health, Nura Bello Maikwanci, the Commissioner solicited the support of the special adviser with a view to achieving the set goals as directed by Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
In his remark, the special adviser, Bello Garba Manager, explained that his visit to the Commissioner was to show solidarity and commitment in collaborating with the commissioner for the overall development of Sokoto state especially in the health sector.
He described Hajiya Balaraba as committed and dedicated Commissioner capable of driving the health policy of the state.
