……enjoined enactment of edicts to address peculiar security challenges
The Sokoto State Commissioner of Police Ibrahim S. Kaoje had today 16/07/2020 received the Special Services and Security Matters Committee of the State House of Assembly led by the chairman Abdullahi Mustafa.
The Command’s spokesman, ASP Muhammad Sadiq made this known to press in Sokoto.
In his remarks, the Committee Chairman stated that the aim of the visit was to strengthen relations between the Police Command and the Legislative Committee, he further acknowledged and applauded the efforts of the Command in mitigating crime in the State. The Chairman however, recognised pockets of security challenges, but reposed his confidence in the capability of the Command to surmount the challenges.
Responding, the CP sincerely appreciated the Committee’s visit, he equally urged the Committee to complement the efforts of the State Government towards improving security in the State.
Climax of the meeting was marked by the CP’s call on the Committee to enact edicts to address peculiar security challenges in the State.
