Sokoto Ministry for Youth and Sports Partners with Rain Healthcare Initiative to Empower Youth

The Sokoto State Ministry for Youth and Sports Development has announced a collaboration with the Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership to enhance youth capacity in the state, aiming for the overall development of Sokoto and Nigeria at large.

This partnership was solidified during an advocacy visit to the ministry by members of the Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership management team. According to Muhammad Nasir, Secretary to the Initiative, the resolution reflects the shared vision of advancing youth and societal development.

Speaking on the partnership, Engineer Mustapha Muhammad Kofar Marke, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, underscored the importance of youth empowerment as the foundation for societal growth. He noted that the initiative aligns with the state administration’s nine-point agenda.

Engineer Mustapha reaffirmed the ministry’s readiness to work closely with the organizations, saying, “We are committed to achieving performance-driven results that will benefit our youths and the larger society.”

Bello A. Bello Gidadawa, a board member of Rain Healthcare, outlined comprehensive development plans aimed at positioning Sokoto State favorably in key human development sectors.

In a related development, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe, Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, pledged the ministry’s full commitment to working with Rain Healthcare and Good Leadership to enhance the well-being of Sokoto residents. She remarked, “Our shared goal is to improve the lives of ordinary citizens, and through this collaboration, we aim to make significant progress.”

Usman Hamza, Executive Director of Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership, provided an overview of the organizations’ activities. These include supporting the government in improving public healthcare, collaborating with relevant bodies to enhance development sectors, and promoting societal awareness programs for a healthier, more informed community.

The visit was attended by ministry directors and executive members of Rain Healthcare Initiative and Good Leadership, reflecting the strong commitment of all parties to the partnership’s success.
