Sokoto Police Command Arrest Man With 101 PVCs

The Sokoto State Police Command has arrested one Nasiru Idris of Sabon Birni local government area with 101 PVCs.

Displaying the Voter cards before the press, the state Commissioner of Police Muhammad Usaini Gumel said it is part of the Command’s commitment towards supporting the INEC to conduct free, fair and credible elections and also to ensure the integrity of all the electoral processes, starting from campaigns to the last.

Gumel therefore called on the owners of PVCs to come to the command for collection of their items.

Also at the brief ceremony, Gumel said the Sultan Sa’ad decorated Sgt. Aliyu Muhammad, awardee Police Officer for the year 2022 best driver has been assessed by FRSC Sokoto Sector Command for being deligent and precautious towards road traffic rules and regulations in Sokoto.

Acknowledged for their contributions to the service of humanity and ensuring peaceful co-existence, six newly Police Officers were decorated with the ranks of Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners and Chief Supretendent of Police while four others will be retiring from the service having attained 35 years in the service.
