The Chairman Governing Council of the Federal College of Education Pankshin Hon. Funsho Olumoko has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment in the disbursement of Students loan to students of Nigerian Institutions.
Hon Funsho Olumoko said these disbursements to Institutions will ensure that Nigerian Students can proceed with their academic activities providing financial support and easing financial burdens on students.
He particularly appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for issuing a dummy cheque of Sixty-Three Million, Six Hundred and Twenty-Eight Thousand, Four Hundred and Twenty-Five (N63,628,425:00) naira only for the Institution.
In a statement released by the Information and Public Relations Unit of the College and signed by the Chief Information Officer Mr. Charles Nda Homsuk stated that the Chairman Governing Council of the Institution, Hon. Funsho Olumoko applauded efforts of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) for their unwavering commitment in ensuring that disbursements were well organised and made at the beginning of the session based on each Institutions academic calendar.
Hon Funsho Olumoko noted that with over 20,000 Students so far receiving full payment of their Institutional fee totalling approximately N2,026,163,340:00 is indeed commendable.
You recall that the Ag. Provost of the College Dr. Mrs. Christiana Fwenji Zumyil had earlier on behalf of the Institution received the dummy cheque at Aso Villa, Abuja during the inauguration of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund).
The students loan access to higher education act was signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a transformative initiative to empower Nigerian students to pursue their educational aspirations.
