Fireboy Unveils Star-Studded Tracklist for Fourth Album ‘Adedamola’

    By Milcah Tanimu

Fireboy has announced the release of his highly anticipated fourth album, *Adedamola*, set to drop on August 29, 2024. The Nigerian singer unveiled the album’s tracklist, revealing collaborations with an impressive lineup of artists including Lagbaja, Seun Kuti, Lojay, and Grammy-winning American singer Jon Baptiste.

The 14-track album features contributions from Nigerian music icons such as Lagbaja, who has been out of the spotlight for over two decades, and Seun Kuti, known for his Grammy-nominated Afrobeat sounds. Fans are particularly excited about Lagbaja’s involvement, given his influential role in the late 90s and early 2000s and his rare public appearances.

In addition to these notable collaborations, *Adedamola* will also include Nigerian DJ, musician, and producer Spinall, adding to the album’s diverse range of features.

Fireboy’s choice to collaborate with Jon Baptiste, a Grammy Album of the Year winner, and Seun Kuti suggests a strategic move to position the album for potential nominations in global categories, especially as it releases just before the August 31 Grammy deadline.

This album marks a shift from Fireboy’s previous work. *Adedamola*—named after the artist himself—signals a departure from the hedonistic themes of his last album, *Playboy*, towards more personal and introspective content. Fans are eager to hear how Fireboy will blend his heartfelt lyricism with the diverse influences of his collaborators, following the success of his debut album, *Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps*.
