In a statement published on its official website on Thursday, CAF announced that the tournament, which was originally scheduled to take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026, will now be held from July 25 to August 16, 2026.
According to the football governing body, the decision was made to ensure the smooth organisation and overall success of the competition following certain unforeseen circumstances.
The last edition of the tournament was also hosted by Morocco, where Nigeria’s Nigeria women’s national football team emerged champions, reinforcing their status as the most successful team in the history of the competition.
