In a recent development, President Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the appointment of Mohammed Isa as his Senior Special Assistant on Disability Matters. The announcement was made on Thursday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, at the State House in Abuja.
Ngelale highlighted that this appointment aligns with Tinubu’s commitment to ensuring the comprehensive inclusion of every segment of society under the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration.
Mohammed Isa, a Public Administration graduate with honors from the University of Maiduguri, furthered his education by obtaining a Master’s in Public Administration from the same institution in 2017.
The President has charged Isa with the responsibility of proactively creating opportunities for inclusion by integrating Persons With Disabilities (PWD) requirements and perspectives into the policies and programs of all Federal Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. Additionally, Isa is expected to collaborate with sub-national authorities to foster a national consensus on PWD-friendly policies and environmental conditions, working in tandem with the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
