Tonto Dikeh, Chika Ike, visitors now banned from taking photos with children in orphanages

Visitors and celebrities like Tonto Dikeh, Chika Ike who love to spend their birthdays at orphanages have been banned from taking pictures with the children at any visit to all orphanage homes in the country.

In a newsletter sent to orphanages in the country, the Coalition of orphanages and children’s home in Nigeria (COCHIN) said the photos taken by visitors are usually shared online to the “embarrassment and stigmatization of the children”.

The Coalition warned that any orphanage that allows visitors to take photos with the kids will be fined 50,000 Naira.

The action has since garenered mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
