Two Suspected Bandits Found Dead in Kaduna Forest

By Milcah Tanimu

Barely a week after the discovery of three decomposed corpses of suspected bandits in the Nasarawa-Azzara Forest in Kachia LGA, two more bullet-ridden bodies have been found in the nearby Kuchimi Forest in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.

The latest discovery was confirmed on Sunday by a local resident, Danjuma Saleh. According to Saleh, the corpses were found by hunters in the early hours of Saturday. “The hunters who discovered the corpses came and reported to the village chief. Some villagers mobilized to the forest and saw the corpses, which were already decomposing,” Saleh explained.

The Kaduna State Police Command’s spokesman, ASP Hassan Mansur, has yet to confirm the development.

This comes in the wake of a recent military raid on a bandits’ hideout in the Nasarawa-Azzara Forest, where three decomposed bodies of suspected bandits were found.
