Van Vicker Celebrates 21st Wedding Anniversary with Adjoa

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Veteran actor Van Vicker took to social media to celebrate the 21st anniversary of his marriage to his beloved wife, Adjoa. He expressed his gratitude for this milestone and, in doing so, shared insights into the complexities of marriage, comparing it to a bed of thorny roses.

On October 16, 2024, he posted a recent picture of the couple, which highlighted both the joy and the challenges that come with a long-term commitment. “Today is my 21st wedding anniversary. I am grateful to God. Marriage is a bed of thorny roses. It has extremely lovely times and really trying moments,” he wrote.

In his message, Vicker emphasized that commitment is crucial for sustaining a long-lasting marriage. Moreover, he noted that willpower plays a vital role in navigating marital ups and downs.

“In all moments, ‘THE WILL’ is key. Finding the ‘right’ person is critical (knowing them substantially). Additionally, staying ‘in love’ is paramount (not just ‘loving’ your spouse). Finally, it’s essential to have ‘the desire’ to want to stay married (in the absence of abuse). Therefore, the culmination of these three points helps transcend those thorns in the roses,” he explained.

Despite the occasional trials of love, Vicker finds that it remains a beautiful journey. He stated, “Prickly as they may be, the internal remedies are sufficient to help you move to the next day and the next, for years. Regardless of the thorns, love is STILL a beautiful thing. I have no regrets about being married and staying married. Furthermore, I pray for grace to continue this beautiful struggle. I feel blessed to have my wife, Adjoa Van Vicker, by my side all these years. I have known her for thirty years. Happy anniversary to us!”
