Social media activist Verydarkman has publicly criticized reality TV star and billionaire’s son, Kiddwaya, over his recent call for donations to support victims of the recent attack in Yelewata, Benue State.
Kiddwaya came under fire on social media after he posted a message soliciting public donations for the affected victims. The post was quickly deleted following widespread backlash.
Reacting to the development, Verydarkman condemned Kiddwaya’s appeal, questioning his understanding of the victims’ actual needs. He accused Kiddwaya of using the situation for clout while consistently flaunting his wealth online.
Part of Verydarkman’s criticism read:
“The first thing you did was to write a post and drop an account number. How can you claim to know what the people in Benue need when you haven’t even gone there? You just sat wherever you are and dropped some vague letter with an account number. I’m glad Nigerians called you out so hard you had to delete the post — that made me happy. You’re always bragging about your wealth, showing off like you’re better than every other Nigerian, but when it’s time to help, you ask others to donate.”
His remarks have fueled ongoing conversations online about celebrity responsibility and sincerity during national tragedies.
