Must read

By Milcah Tanimu

Victor Osimhen put an end to his five-game goal drought as he scored Napoli’s second goal in their convincing 4-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday.

The Nigerian striker found the back of the net in the 39th minute, breaking a dry spell that had stretched for 485 minutes without a goal. Earlier in the 19th minute, Osimhen had the opportunity to give Napoli the lead when they were awarded a penalty, but he selflessly passed the ball to Piotr Zielinski, who converted it to open the scoring.

Osimhen’s generosity paid off later in the match when he calmly slotted in Napoli’s second goal of the night, marking his fourth goal of the season.

In a memorable celebration, Osimhen rushed to the Napoli bench and shared a hug with the newly-signed Jesper Lindstrom, seemingly ignoring coach Rudi Garcia.

Although he is yet to record a goal contribution for the Rossoneri, AC Milan has secured five wins out of six league games this season.
