… Calls for Prayers for Mr. President

The FCT Minister Barr. Nysome Wike on behalf of the FCT Administration, has sent greetings to all Muslim faithful residents in the territory.
In his message, the minister noted the significance of the day to mark the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), adding that it is a time to reflect on his teachings of peace, compassion, and unity.
“Eid-el Maulud is not just a celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, it is an opportunity for us to come together as residents of the FCT to uphold our commitment to the values of acceptance, love, and kindness that the Prophet preached.”
“It is a time to remember the importance of compassion and the virtues of togetherness that should guide our interactions with one another irrespective of our beliefs.”
“In the FCT, we are blessed with a diverse and vibrant community that represents the rich cultures of our great nation. Our strength lies in our unity, and our progress depends on our ability to live in harmony with one another.”
“Permit me to use this opportunity to commend residents of the FCT for their unwavering commitment to peace and harmony.”
Wike also, thanked residents for their cooperation, understanding, and an enabling support, which has helped his team to achieve so much in the short time of his stay in office.
Likewise, the minister thanked the law enforcement agencies, healthcare workers, and all essential service providers who have continued to work tirelessly to keep our city safe and functioning.
“Let me also use this opportunity to reiterate our commitment, as an Administration, to meet our obligations to you, dear residents of the FCT. We will continue to provide essential infrastructure, security, and other services to enhance your quality of life.”
He emphasized the FCT Administration’s commitment to infrastructure development ,to improve connectivity and accessibility across the FCT, expanding access to quality medical care, and enhanced emergency response services, as well as ensuring a safer environment for residents and visitors alike.
“As we celebrate this day, I urge you all to extend a hand of friendship, reach out to your neighbors, regardless of their background or beliefs, and foster a sense of community.’
“Participate in programs that promote social cohesion, economic growth, and environmental sustainability.”
“I also urge you all to meet your obligations to government and society. Contribute to the growth and progress of our beloved FCT by obeying traffic rules, paying your taxes, and engaging in civic activities,” he said.
However, the minister implored residents to use the special day to pray for the success of our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his support for the FCT Administration’s efforts towards the development of the nation’s capital and uplifting the people.”
The minister charged the Muslim faithful to emulate the virtues of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in our daily lives, fostering a society where everyone thrives in peace and security.
Wike wished residents a joyous and blessed Eid-el-Maulud prayed that the day would usher in peace, prosperity, and happiness into their lives and families.
