Wizkid Releases Highly Anticipated 6th Album ‘Morayo’

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Wizkid has finally dropped his much-anticipated sixth album, Morayo, on November 22, 2024. The album, named in honor of his late mother, features 16 tracks, including collaborations with artists such as Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Jasmine Sullivan, Anaïs Cardot, and Tiakola.

Morayo follows the success of previous singles like Piece of My Heart featuring Brent Faiyaz and Kese (Dance), both of which set new records on Spotify Nigeria for the highest opening-day streams. Kese surpassed 1.5 million streams, breaking the previous record held by Piece of My Heart, which garnered over 1 million streams.

With these record-breaking feats, Wizkid continues to solidify his place as one of the continent’s leading artists. He now holds the top four spots for the biggest first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria, and Morayo is expected to further elevate his already iconic career.
