Yongxing Steel commemorates children day with Gifted hand academy

As part of its corporate social responsibility, Yongxing Steel company ltd has made donations to Gifted Hands Academy primary school in Ogua community in Edo state.

According to a statement by the company the donation is one among many by the company to assist its immediate community of operation.

The donations were made to celebrate with the children as they celebrates children’s day.

The donations worth millions of naira were made up of text books and other education materials like White boards, Markers, Board erasers, bags, Artist paints, Footballs and many more.

While speaking on the occasion, the public relation officer of Yongxing Steel company, said that the company will continue to contribute in no small measure to the development of the host community, he also noted that the company has always been involved in providing facilities that will enhance the progress of the community.

He said the company has reviewed the learning facility of the primary school and it is not so conducive for the pupils noting that the company will further facilitates the construction of blocks of classrooms, furnish it and also constructs fence round the school premises to safeguard the pupils and give them educational sense of belonging.

He also mentioned that the company has already purchased a transformer that will be donated to the host community and plans are also in top gear for the company to build a functional secondary school for the community.

Meanwhile, when responding to the magnanimity of the company, the proprietress of Gifted Hands Academy, said that she was speechless by the overwhelming kind gesture demonstrated by Yongxing Steel company to the primary school.

She said it was the first of its kind received by the school since the establishment of the primary school 11years ago noting that it would help the pupils in their educational needs and give them a good sense of educational belonging.

At the event, the community leader of the host community, also commend the effort of the company for placing a high value to education. He promised to continuously corporate with the company within his powers to ensure there’s peace and an enabling environment for the company to operate.
