The governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has kick started the 5th edition of the Sokoto State inter local government football competition to strengthen the cordial relationship amongst youth in the state.
Representated by the Commissioner for Health Dr Ali Muhammad Inname, Tambuwal said it was also aimed at reducing the tension caused by the insurgency that affect all channels of development in the state.
Kicking the ball to signify the commencement of the 5th edition of Mutawalle inter local government football competition at Giginya memorial stadium, Sokoto,Tambuwal said the winner will get brand new car and cash prize while the 2nd and 3rd will go home with motorcycle and cash as well.
The competition organised by Mutawalle Youths Sports Foundation will host all the 23 LGAs in the state and is expected to last two weeks.
