Eko Nafest: One stop cultural Markplace to revolutionalize Nigeria’s tourism sector – Otunba Runsewe

NCAC Director General, Otunba Segun Runsewe, disclosed that the much expected Eko Nafest, is a huge platform is a one stop cultural marketplace that would revolutionize the nation’s tourism sector though creating jobs opportunities in marine tourism, technology, travel and leisure among others.

Otunba Runsewe said, ‘ I have no doubt from experience that Eko Nafest, which governor Babajide sanwo-0lu has fully deployed support will break records in adding values to socioeconomic development projects of lagos state government.”
” The state Commissioner for Tourism, Mrs uzmat Akinbile Yusuf is with me on this effort, to use this festival to create immediate and future socioeconomic cultural tourism future jobs for youths and women in lagos.”

The 2022 EKO NAFEST, the biggest ever cultural extravaganza promises to swing the economic value of the Nation as the National festival of Arts and Culture, is redefined and refocused as the biggest cultural tourism gathering in Nigeria and Africa.

The Cultural festival is aimed at showcasing Nigeria’s cultural diversity would converge industries, emerging creative markets in the travel, Insurance, logistics and telecoms sectors.
Food vendors, fashion and local fabric designers, wellness and stay fit outfits, travel and leisure operators, Hospitality and hotel owners, contributing significantly to the tourism economy are also expected to have a stake in the fiesta.

EKO NAFEST, according to NCAC economic desk, would create over three thousand jobs in the festival’s down stream sector, with opportunities for hands on jobs, in creative free skills acquisition supported by NCAC, thrilling the biggest celebration of Nigerian culture.

Lagos as the epicentre of Nigeria’s economic and entertainment will leverage on the hosting the festival to open up real estate opportunities in the state , connecting investment possibilities to its five division local markets and communities.

Eko Nafest will hold from November 7th through 13th at the National Institute For Sports grounds inside the gigantic Nigeria National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos .
