The Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello Over the weekend charged the state contingent for the 35th edition of National Council for Arts and Culture (EKO NAFEST) to go for gold.
He gave the charge while consenting to the participation of Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture (KGSCAC) at the event.
In a press release signed by the
Information Officer of Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture, Mr. Gabriel Edicha gave the theme of the 35th edition NAFEST as ‘Culture and Peaceful Coexistence’ and would be holding in Lagos from 7th to 13th November, 2022.
Gov Bello who was represented by the commissioner for culture and tourism, Hon. Salifu Idachaba advised the State representatives to be of good behaviour, showcase the rich arts and culture that abounds in the State.
Speaking in his own capacity as the commissioner, Hon. Salifu Idachaba expressed confidence that the state troupe will justify the support of the government and people of the state by giving a good account of themselves.
“NAFEST is an annual event that brings all states’ Council for Arts and Culture in the federation together to showcase diverse rich cultures of the participating states.”
Responding, the Director, Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture, Mrs Wosilat Owuda expressed gratitude to His Excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello, and assured him and people of the state that the State’s contingent is in the high spirit for the festival.
